PFMax-MV is transformer substation voltage reactive power automatic compensation control system (named reactive power compensation complete equipment), applies to 6KV,1OKV and 35KV power grid of 35-220KV transformer substation. According to the bus voltage's high-low and reactive power's demand, through automatically regulating transformer on-load change tapping point and track compensating of parallel capacitor banks, this device can comprehensively control the substation voltage and reactive power. Guarantee the supply voltage quality and power factor to meet the expected demand, reduce the power loss, reduce voltage fluctuation and improve the equipment utilization.

CONSTITUTE OF EQUIPMENT

  • PFMax-MV reactive power compensation complete equipment consists of voltage reactive power integrated controller, capacitor microcomputer protection unit, vacuum switch special for capacitor switching, discharge coil, zinc oxide arrester, series reactor and capacitors.
  • PFMax-MV reactive power compensation complete equipment centrally placed vacuum contactor, arrester, isolation switch, discharge coil, reactor and capacitor of each group into one cabinet. Each machine is a set of independent units, can independently switch control and protect. Using split type cabinet convenient for transportation and installation; operation is more safety and reliable; as each capacitor group were placed in one split cabinet, once occurs fault, other components will not be affected; Maintenance is convenient, can be grouped maintenance, do not affect normal operation of other equipments.
  • Outdoor type equipment placed the whole equipment into an outdoor cabinet (shell insulation,strong cold insulation), apply to: outdoor transformer substation, box-type transformer substation and indoor transformer substation without capacitor room.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
Reactive power compensation and on-load voltage regulation are up to actual operation condition of each substation. At present, most loads are inductive load, so use the way of compensating capacitor to compensate the phase difference between voltage and current produced by inductive load, to reduce power loss and improve power quality.

PFMax-MV device takes substation voltage signal and current signal as the simulate input signal of reactive power compensation and transformer on-load voltage regulation, and calculate reactive power requirement, power factor, active power, through auxiliary contact signals of each main transformer switch, bus couple switch, to identify serious kinds of operation mode. Use voltage, reactive power twelve region graph control method, according to the basic principle of “guarantee voltage qualified, reactive power basic balance, try to reduce the times of regulation”, calculate the relationship between reactive power and voltage, solved the problem that the regulation of transformer on-load voltage regulation tap is too often.
