Summary
PF-MCR type SVC transformer substation dynamic reactive power compensation equipment is a device consisting of magnetically controlled reactor and fixed capacitor banks (MCR+FC) which can quickly the reactive power of electric system. This device through real-time tracking detection system reactive power and voltage parameters, step less adjusting inductive reactive power capacitor of MCR, to realize automatically and fast track compensating load reactive power, stabilizing bus voltage and improving power quality.

Working Principle
MCR type dynamic reactive power compensation device is consisting of fixed capacitor bank and magnetically controlled reactor. Please see the flowing drawing: Firstly inputting reactor to power grid, that is controller send order to MCR, make the inductive reactive power of reactor all input to power grid, then close the fixed capacitor banks, make it being parallel to power grid, the fixed capacitor banks will send its rating reactive power compensation capacity to power grid, controller will then through PT and CT1 to collect the signals of grid voltage and three phase load current, instantaneously compensate the bus voltage flicker of power grid, respectively calculate three phase load reactive power, then calculate three phase reactive power condition after capacitor compensation, figure out whether power factor is in a given range, if exceed, according to grid reactive power status, controller will respectively send control pulse to three phase thyristor of MCR, make the reactor output right amount of inductive reactive power compensation, at the same time, controller through total current signal collected from CT2 accurately adjust the reactor, make the system power factor at its best status, compensation result to the best.

Control system adopts digital control system which has unique self-learning control algorithm, fast response and high reliability. There is friendly human-machine interface between control system and excitation system, convenient user use and maintenance.

Monitoring system can centralized monitor related simulation value and switching value of device, user can monitor all the related information in the monitoring system provides RS485 communication port, which can access to existing automation control system.

Within MCR type SVC system, only one control cabinet and switchgear cabinet of each branch need to be installed indoor, other equipment can use indoor or outdoor installation mode, and all outdoor equipment use self-cooling design thought in principle, the part of heat concentration can be supplemented by forced air-cooled, system is reliable, easy installation, small maintenance.
